Archers' Wood
'Archers' Wood' focuses on the timelessness of the woodland landscape where field archery takes place, field archery has changed and shifted in its style and intent over the centuries, but its venues remain the same. I have used video to create moving still images, the audience may take time to experience the space and absorb the atmosphere of the woodland, to see it change in tiny ways, the gentle movements of the wind in the leaves, the subtle shift of shadows on the canopy or the indigenous creatures passing. The timelessness of the space enables us to transport ourselves, to stand and enjoy the solitude of a place that is in time whenever your mind can envisage it to be.
