Plymouth
For two years I took pictures of the city of Plymouth. Somehow the little side roads of the notorious "Union street" started to fascinate me. With my camera I explored the narrow confines of its surroundings and of the inner city. I was interested in the material of the architecture, the space, and how the people interact with it. During the process of creating the series I realized that I would need another medium to express my ideas more clearly. In my photobook, that I simply named "Plymouth", I use prose and photographs separately, allowing both artistic expressions to work on the viewer in their own way, while giving a broader picture to him together.
