In this series of photography I am exploring the tactility and physicality of the book. I want to celebrate and commemorate something which is becoming increasingly unused in the digital age. This work is my way of investigating why books as objects are important to me and how they interact with the people who read them. I aim to encapsulate the beauty which I feel when engrossed in a story, through the physical form, by exploring the imprints and evidence that we leave on pages. I read a quote by Theodore Roosevelt which said that "I am part of everything that I have read" this really speaks to my ideas as I want to depict the two way relationship we have with books. I am part of everything that I have read DECEMBER 2014.
