In the Palm of My Hand.
When photography was first created it took great skill to produce a photograph, a good understanding of chemistry was a necessity, as was the patience needed for trial and error. Until the modern age you could only see a few at a time, by visiting a gallery or reading a magazine. Today, with computers and smartphones, we have access to extraordinary amounts of information in the palms of our hands, we can easily store millions of photographs on something as small as fingernail. The work I have produced shows various images from the history of photography recreated using traditional techniques and bringing the first and modern ages of the photograph together into a single image using a smartphone.
