The Depiction of the Feminine
Emma Roche's project explores the representation of females. Does the media accurately represent the women of today? Or is the media creating an unrealistic image that women feel pressured to live up to? The aim of this project is to showcase the bodies of real women. These are what women look like in reality. The portraits of these women are shot in their homes, a comfortable place where they can reclaim the space as their own. These women will not stand to be objectified any longer.
