Kirsty McLachlan
This project is a series of portraits of volunteers at the RNLI Kinghorn Station, located in the small coastal town in Fife, Scotland. These individuals dedicate their time to vigilant training and invaluable fundraising, and will drop everything at a moment's notice to rush out to sea to save those whose lives are in danger. This series, captured on medium format film, focuses on the individuality of each member and hopes to communicate a gentle, human and empathetic atmosphere - something which can be lost as we often, in society, take the emergency services for granted.
