Natasha Girard is a contemporary fine art photographer based between Cheshire and Cornwall. Her work, Ambiguity, explores the relationship between interpretation and inexactness - the quality of being open to more than one possibility. Girard has an ongoing fascination with how cultural imagery plays a part in the interpretation of untouchable landscapes. Within Ambiguity she explores the relationship between geometry, distance and space in order distance the viewer from the reality of the photograph and therefore create a sense of the unfamiliar, the uncanny. These factors enable the work to be seen in a way that forces the onlooker to provide their own visual interpretation of an untouchable land.
