Inis Oírr the smallest of the Aran Islands is located in the mouth of Galway Bay. It is the place where my grandmother was born, and where I spent my childhood summer holidays. I documented my personal experience and history with the landscape and the passage and movement of time. The islanders have used their environment to create objects for everyday living. This ingenuity has inspired me to create my own objects into shapes that I associate with the island. I was drawn to the everyday mundane things on the island and this became my inspiration.
