Jennifer-Anne Crowther
10 Years
Jennifer-Anne's practice focuses on the relationship and tensions between abstraction and realisation - often capturing a point in time that communicates the depth of detail within ephemeral moments through preservation. She uses photography to create contemplative spaces for the viewer; with the intention of provoking questions about our relationship to time, memory, and beauty within our everyday lives. 10 Years is a reflection upon her own experiences of change and loss over a decade. It is a journey through the fragmentation of memory - asking the viewer, what do we really remember? Is it the bigger events, or the fleeting moments around the edges of our memories that allow us to piece back together what we believe to be true?
