'Mersey Gateway: A Documentary Story'
This is a project which follows the construction of the Mersey Gateway Bridge in the Borough of Halton. This project comprises photographic work from a two and a half year period, which tracks this feat of engineering. The images record changes to the local landscape and the redevelopment of wastelands including the development of a nature reserve. As photographers we naturally create archives and collections, my initial idea was to produce a coherent archive which chronologically follows the building of the Mersey Gateway Bridge project. As a photographer who lives in Runcorn I felt the need to photograph this project in my local area to reflect the changes I see around me.
