I challenge the distinctions between photography and painting. By experimenting with cameraless processes, I aim to discover what photography might mean for me. While painting is valued on the artist’s personal expression and interaction, it is this value that I am bringing within photography. My action takes place simultaneously, in a similar way to conventional painting. I am treating the light-sensitive surface more as a canvas; I am making, not taking a photograph.
