Natasha James
Everywhere I look I see images of women that have been edited so much that they become unrealistic. When when we see these images every day, we start to accept them as normal. Women are constantly comparing themselves to unattainable standards of beauty because we are widely misrepresented in the media. I have created this series to celebrate real women. I asked every woman who sat for me to wear no make-up and I haven’t retouched their skin at all. I want this series to show that there is beauty in our uniqueness and to document the diversity of humanity.
