Moving with the Unconscious
This project is about individuality and how each of our unconscious minds work when observing the world around us. I believe it questions the way we read images, and their meaning to us depending on our cultural, social and political identities. Through my street photography of London and its people, I explore the potential that an image has, generating meaning when combined together with text. I decided to present the photographs as a manual interactive piece. I created a space where visitors could delve into their own understanding of the images by matching them with words. Having a manual experience of holding and feeling the photographs, it transforms the relationship we form with an image and what it signifies.
