An approximation is anything that is similar but not exactly equal to something else. An Approximation is an amalgamation of everything that Thomas has researched and explored. It’s a visual representation of how machines understand depth within images. Allowing Thomas to ask us as humans, the following questions: Are these visual recordings photographic? With cameras understanding the depth data within an image does this now change our understanding of machine readable photography? Does this help prove that a digital image was taken in the first place? The main question to consider is are these approximations of photographs?
