Daniela Conde Quinones
Signs of distance
El Camino de Santiago has been for centuries a pilgrims way that many people had shown interest in. While working on this project I walked 71 miles in 5 days along the north side of Spain in Galicia where one of the many routes begins. The pilgrims' way has become more and more popular over time and not only religious individuals hike these paths but also people who are not spiritually inspired, I am one of those people, my experience was different from theirs. Even though I witnessed religious signs while walking, my involvement revealed landscapes and the environment to me in another way.
