anything You can do I can do better
In so far as photography can be used as a tool that helps to highlight injustices in the world, society has a way of reinforcing unrivalled inequalities when it comes to gender impartiality. This is especially the case when it comes to societal norms associated with careers undertaken in our lives. Why should gender define and influence the kinds of roles we might wish to undertake? Utilising stages images and interviews, this work engages with these themes and problematics in a playful manner. In doing so, it postulates gender should be indifferent when it comes to the paths we peruse in life and aspires for a society that needs to reflect on the ways in which people are regularly stereotyped.
