RESIDUES OF CUSTOMISATION
Investigating the fluidity of the analogue image in the digital age, my practice meddles with the photographic darkroom in an attempt to loosen its heavy construct. Assessing relations between the digital and analogue, an initial conversation is held between the online and the darkroom by positioning the pinhole camera in front of the technological device. Later, the laptop is invited to act as a tool within the photographic process; its blue-light brightness capable of transforming the negative image into the positive. My work, RESIDUES OF CUSTOMISATION, is guided by the remix - a regeneration of information- in order to diffuse competition between the online and the darkroom and contemplate the behaviour of advancement, malleability and mutuality in the digital age.
