Fragments, under the weight of embellishments
With inspiration drawn from the concept in the recent ICP New York exhibition, But Still, It Turns, that 'there is no story is the story', I have created a collection of images that contain fragments of a reality at a given time. Fragments, when brought together give a glimpse into a 'tangled life', as life is. An ode over a brief span of time with strands of strength, isolation, loss, wonder, despair and freedom. A reflection on the nature of nature, our inability as humans to survive without it, examining the belief that human society owns and 'takes charge' of nature. But nature has a habit of whispering out to us, that the opposite is in fact true, we are owned by the world…"We never belonged to you. You never found us. It was always the other way round."(The Moment, by Margaret Atwood).
