Portrait - The Taste of Others
For a long time, it was my mission to talk about “presence” through the difference of taste. Since the pandemic began, a screen has taken place of the interaction that needs to take place among people but meanwhile, a meeting on screen offers an opportunity to peep at someone’s personal space. The subjects selected the space and framed their background by angling and positioning a camera. Along the way, my aesthetic tastes were completely excluded. I erased the subject from the screen in order to leave only the selected tastes from a functional point of view. I enjoyed their tastes in terms of optics, perspective and vision, and I sometimes felt eroticism and voyeurism.
