I AM SASHA
I AM SASHA is an anthropological and visual sociological investigation into individuals who share the same name and current geographical boundary. I am interested in their origin of name, socio-economic backgrounds, interests, and what led us all to the same location - to underpin what elements build up their version of ‘Sasha’. Each subject has their portrait taken in the studio. In addition to this, the photographer and subject undergo the ‘Sasha exchange’; subjects use the photographer’s camera during an experience reflecting their biographical information. This interaction attempts to identify further commonalities and celebrate the diversity of individuals.
