NO PLACE / LIKE HOME

NO PLACE / LIKE HOME (NPLH) is a collaborative series of witness accounts of life lived in the pandemic presented as a series of interiors, portraits and filmed interviews and a proposal to stage a physical exhibition. I used photography and video to create a dynamic dialogue between the subjects and me. I wanted to preserve a sense of the moment; of stories told of recent life lived in devastating circumstances. The culmination of the project is an exhibition of constructed ‘Corners’ - replicas of real domestic spaces - decorated and designed by each subject and showing their spoken account on a TV screen in the corner of each set.
