SUBMITTING WORK TO SOURCE
Source Photographic Review – Call for new work
Submission Deadline 4pm 28th March 2025.
Meetings will take place on the 23rd, 24th and 25th April 2025 by Zoom.
As part of research for future issues, Source will be organising zoom meetings with photographers to look at new photographic work. Each meeting provides an opportunity to introduce directly new work to one of the editors. This is one way Source finds new work for publication in the Portfolio section of the magazine.
Who can submit?
You must either be a subscriber (print or digital) or have bought a copy of Source within the last 12 months to submit. (Subscriptions and single copies are available via our online shop ▸). For proof needed see below. This opportunity is open to photographers from or living in Ireland or the UK.
How to submit
Using the subject heading ‘Research Meetings 2025’, email research@source.ie with:
A PDF or Powerpoint no larger than 30MB.
The PDF can include up to 15 images.
Up to three paragraphs of text that give a background to your new work.
Your name, contact phone number and web address.
Proof of your subscription or recent purchase (such as a photograph of your copy or screenshot of your order receipt).
50 words (approx.) telling us about something you enjoyed in a recent issue of Source and why.
Please specify whether you are from Northern Ireland or elsewhere in Ireland or the UK, and/or where you are currently based.
The deadline for submissions is 4.00pm 28th March 2025.
What we’re looking for
New, previously unpublished bodies of photographic work by photographers living in or from Ireland or the UK. Unpublished work can include artists’ books in editions of less than 200, or projects from which a few images have been published elsewhere.
What will happen next
We will acknowledge all submissions by email and you will be sent an Equality, Diversity & Inclusion monitoring form to fill in. The editors will look closely at all submissions. We will shortlist submissions and then let everyone know our decisions by email. We will meet 8 people each day for 30 minutes to discuss new projects.
