An Unassuming GentlemanThis series of still life images explores the idea of memory and reflection through objects that have now become symbolic reminders of my childhood. Photographed as historic exhibits, these objects once belonged to my father who, as a Postal Historian, collected and meticulously catalogued vast amounts of old letters and stamps. Once perceived to be useful everyday items in the life of my father, I find myself examining and recording these objects now as precious artefacts from the past. I look at them as a reminder of his life whilst creating a personal collection of my childhood memories.
