Lyndsay Paterson
In today's society and culture we are constantly being bombarded with images of the perfect way to look. The obsession of the media to continually show us images of the 'perfect figure' makes us become more aware of the way we look, and obsess about how we can improve our appearance. The truth is we all have attributes that we are not happy with and would change if we had the chance. However it is these attributes and differences in ourselves that make us individual and yet it is these attributes that make us unhappy with our own appearance. My works from the series: "10" (My Worst Physical Attrribute) takes individuals least favoured part of them and shows it in a more attractive light. Farming is a decaying and changing industry and with little or no government funding the industry is falling apart much like many of the farm houses and buildings that we see scattering our rural landscapes. This image is from the series: Farming - The End of the Seasons.
