Louise Carreck
My current body of work deals with the illusion of space placing the viewer in an environment where scale and location are hard to identify. By using the abstraction of architecture I am able to create these surreal environments. Only very minor alterations to the images have been made, wanting them to remain as close to the original subject as possible. Light is an important element to the work, as it enhances the ambiguity of the spaces. With many modernist influences I am keen to maintain this minimal, reductive approach, where there is none is very little evidence of human presence. After graduating I wish to further my photographic career, continuing the exploration of architectural photography.
