Lesley Billingham
Never Such Innocence Again
Pendeen is an outpost. In 1912 electricity arrived to feed the mine. I am photographing the telegraph poles within the landscape Using a Box Brownie camera. Prints are made in the darkroom and digitally. I am also reviving some anonymous Victorian portraits from glass negatives Using Fox Talbot's original chemistry to make the prints. At the moment the leaves bordering the portrait connect these images. These were collected from beneath the telegraph poles. This is work in progress.
