Miriam Francis
This current body of work explores the beauty and structure of the man-made landscapes involved in golf courses. I have chosen to work on a number of golf courses across the North West focusing in on the details of the course to create an abstract series. I have concentrated on capturing light and shadow and lines and formations which are created by the contrasts and juxtapositions of the well kept and pristine greens and fairways and the rough ground in between.
