Scout Moor Wind Farm
Wind turbines, love them or hate them? Fossil fuels are finite, hydro carbon fuel supplies are dependent on imports from potentially unstable parts of the world. Are renewables and onshore wind farms part of the answer? Wind farms are attracting a lot of bad press because of their adverse visual impact. The study of the Scout Moor Wind Farm is my take on the aesthetics of these machines to rank them positively alongside other engineering structures such as modern iconic buildings like the Lowry Theatre and Imperial War Museum North.
