Ambulating Trails
"Ambulating Trails" documents a specific walk undertaken by four of us in April 2012. It records a series of interventions in the landscape derived from guidebooks and observations, chronicling aspects of an experience that photography cannot reveal, including factual data and emotional experiences, past and present. For example, the walking stick represents the tradition of 'wunderlust' as practiced and enjoyed by several generations of my family. Walking is an embodied experience and this cannot always be reflected in simple naturalistic photography. Experience it to the full. Put yourself in the picture.
