Constructed Feminism
Photography became a consuming interest of mine at a young age, I find objects endlessly intriguing, especially in how they communicate so much through so little, whilst also allowing the artist to explore form. In this project I focussed on fashion not as a commercial photographer but as an artist exploring what fashion means to people, what each dress communicates about a decade. The project also aims to look at what each dress signifies about how women were seen in each decade, raising questions of gender and feminism, as well as personal identity and contemporary culture.
