Radka Dolinska
The project focuses on small family shops based in Warrington market, which have been a part of the landscape for generations. The aim of this project was to portray the everyday life of these shop holders in their natural settings but also to describe the landscape (excluding human figures) as a metaphor for each family shop, carrying the strong suggestion that this is where the most intimate moments have been lived. Today's market is mainly comprised of people whose notions of a satisfactory future is, in fact, a return to the idealized past. The project is not intending to be an analysis of the market landscape, but more of a lyrical portrait of it is scenery and people.
