Bernarde Lynn
chasing shadows
My work primarily deals with the memories encountered in the daydream. I work with a non-literal narrative trying to engage with the random emotions and events we encounter in the dream space. The daydream chases the phantom ghosts that appear in the night sleep and helps us chase out the shadows. This work plays with the absence of colour as a statement of loss. The random use of images is a comment on the way that our unconscious processes loss, it is never fully transparent, always asking but never answering. This work was shot using an old manual Nikon camera.
