Happisburgh is a small village situated on the north-east coast of Norfolk. It has been battling with coastal erosion for many centuries and, although many attempts have been made to defend the coastline, it is still shifting faster than anywhere else in Britain. Through my images, I captured various points along the coastline that visually described these defences as well as a general overview of the location. When processing my images, I used seawater from the location. The seawater has dried on the film and this is visually evident in the final image. The marks left by the seawater have somewhat damaged the film, similar to the way in which seawater has damaged the village of Happisburgh over many centuries.
