Repetition of Repetitions'But better die than live mechanically a life that is a repetition of repetitions." DH Lawrence, Women in Love This work was created in response to the prevalence of digital photography and online digital archives. The images are an expression of the personal nature of examining the physicality of the printed photograph. The work was made to seduce; arousing a haptic response in the viewer to reach out and feel what they are seeing. The image object however is out of reach. It has been distanced from the viewer in space and time via a recurrent photographic process. The tension between image and object is palpable eliminating the ease of pure visual consumption.
