From the day of my birth to the age of twenty years there was only one place I would call home. Now faced with the reality of adulthood, this is no longer my safe haven. This body of work reflects upon the sadness I felt the day I left my childhood home through intimate and quiet details. Empty space is a reoccurring theme throughout the photographs, symbolising my lack of presence, isolation and entering the uncertainties of my future. Documentary photography is a strong passion of mine. I pride myself in creating photographs of a quiet and delicate nature, and I have discovered that my most rewarding work has been personal.
