Placetime
The work is a consideration of time and place. By exploring theories of Spacetime physics, philosophy and memory, I aim to consider how we and events fit together. By focusing on a place, and by studying the traces and clues that point from the present to other positions in time, I intend to make the viewer (re)consider time and their relationship to it. I aspire to produce work that questions the flow of time and proposes that the past may not be lost and the future may have already happened. Also, through questioning photography itself, I want to question our perceptions and representations of reality and history.
