The subject of the abject, in relation to the boundaries of our physical body, has been a constant consideration within my artistic practice. "little others" explores the fragility of one of these boundaries, our skin, and considers how its disintegration can result in both actual and perceived contamination. Using food wrap as a substitute skin I construct small, temporary sculptures, each containing either a banal or bodily fluid, suspended in a state of potential collapse. However, the pareidolia quality of these individual abstract images may potentially allow the viewer to project his or her own interpretation upon them, beyond that of their original intended context.
