My work is based on the Black and White Hollywood look that George Hurrell produced in the 1930s and 40s. I have tried to recreate his look with a contemporary twist; the images all have a modern day item within them. This includes items such as phones sports items clothing. Many of the items relate to the personality of the sitter. Time is spent getting to know the subject before the shoot trying to get the feel of there personality. All the images are friends, fellow students and one of my tutor, this I feel helps me understand how Hurrell had to work. These images are taken digitally then converted in Photoshop.
