The journey to a Terrestrial land
A road trip documentary that primarily focuses on the Icelandic backdrops. A magical experience where situations change so instantaneously, the weather, a temperature change or even lighting conditions, transforms a bland and bleak scene into a surreal/terrestrial environment. And whilst these landscapes are breathtakingly beautiful, they're also important to the history, culture and the survival of the Icelandic people. Many landscapes are associated with the Icelandic sagas (myths deriving from the 5th century), lava formations are believed to be trolls turned to stone by the sun, the hidden folk (elves and fairies) according to Icelanders, still inhabit the land. These environments are also natural resources that are harnessed for Iceland's own prosperity, particularly renewable energy.
