On The Verge Of Visibility
Kimberley-Anne Cox's work explores individuality and disability, through self-portraiture and pictures of her direct surroundings. This has been a common theme through the artist's practice so far. In her work On the Verge of Visibility, Cox continues to interpret this theme as part of her projects on identity. It started with Cox exploring her specific condition and her body because of hypermobility, but she wanted to delve deeper and find out more about the perceptions of her condition in more detail. As well as how people live with and overcome their disabilities. The project has allowed her to research others that suffer with similar symptoms and problems, alongside her own condition, all in more detail.
