Marina
Marina is a power station located on the banks of the River Lee in the docklands of Cork City. This station has gone through several changes and iterations throughout its life since it was first commissioned in 1954. It was at one stage the largest producer of power in Ireland and has only recently closed. The station itself has extensive internal and external features and these photographs represent only a snapshot of the many unique facets and dimensions of the station. This series of photographs aims to capture a moment in time. They also serve to illustrate the beauty of industrial engineering capabilities before this station is eventually dismantled and ultimately disappears. These images were taken in digital and large format.
