Every year, there are over 2000 alleged sightings of non-native big cats in the UK. This project explores the places associated with these sightings as well as the people who research, track, and try to prove the existence of big cats living wild across the UK. The use of the mundane and the unspectacular allows for the phenomenon to be presented as completely factual and true, whilst accepting that conclusive evidence is yet to be discovered. Ideas of invisibility and how photography can be used to represent what cannot be revealed, allows the viewer to decide how much, if any, of the phenomenon to believe.
