Ireland is Home
People from all over the world come to live in Ireland. As an immigrant, I am intrigued by the people that have settled here and changed the landscape of this country. 'Ireland is Home' is a photographic project which includes portraits of migrants, people, and birds in flight. Through the similarities between human and bird movements, I question why they uproot themselves and what home is for them. Cyanotype constellations were made from routes taken by immigrants, and their blue colour reflects the sky and sea that we had to cross to arrive on this island. This project is a reminder of our positive impact on Irish society and a protest against xenophobia and racism.
