Victoria Caunce
My work is experimental, creative Fine Art Photography with a Fashion twist. This particular project is based on research I did on the Lewis Carroll's stories of 'Alice in Wonderland' and 'Alice Through the looking Glass'. I was heavily influenced by the information I found that linked Carroll's stories and the Surrealists of the 1920's. My personal interest in the unconscious and subconscious, and the impact is has had on my work in the past, made this subject even more exciting. I created my own fashion interpretation of the Alice stories, by selecting characters from the books. By incorporating fabric, the images became surreal, as our dreams often are.
