Travellers
This work is the product of a great deal of research and time spent within the travelling communities. Family values are massively important in the Gypsy culture and this led me to focus on the younger generations that hold the future perception of the travelling community. By maintaining a formal approach throughout I have created a homogeneous body of work that allows the viewer to focus on the characteristics that are unique to every single child, the characteristics that derive from mimicking the generation before them. The uncritical manner in which they are depicted is offering the viewer the chance to come to their own conclusions regarding perceptions of Travellers.
