'Shedding Perceptions'
It is my belief that media has a strong influence on society and the way they should look, particularly within the younger generation. Magazines that expose underweight celebrities also promote these perceptions. My project is focused on the idea of body image and the perceptions people have of themselves compared to celebrities and models. My project is a celebration of different but healthy body types and promotion of peoples self confidence, with the dust being used as metaphor for the shedding of these perceptions. This work is aimed for a commercial/editorial market.
