All across Glasgow's urban landscape lie ramshackle structures mostly to be found in the more deprived areas of the city, providing an escapism for the men-folk of the area in the pursuit of breeding pigeons. However what do these structures essentially represent about inner city life in Glasgow, is it simply a case of men pursuing the more simple pleasures in life, or is this a modern day form of territoralism, in areas plagued by gangs, drugs and an anti-social youth, do these areas represent places of solace for the normal man, a sense of space for them to claim for themselves seeking safety against an ever-more disaffected youth who have essentially gained control of such areas.
