Sister Sister
“Sister Sister” is a celebratory publication which tells stories of strong females and their friendships with one another. Through a mixture of poetry, illustration, photography and interviews you can see what it is that makes these relationships secure and last through more difficult times. Rebecca tells her important story of what conquered competition in her friendship – “For years when I had babies, Elaine was struggling with conceiving. She gave herself wholeheartedly to helping me care for my babies”. Whereas Martha speaks of simply the bond she feels with her sister although living miles apart - “We can read each other’s minds, have the same humour and carry on from where we left off”. These relationships are the foundations of who we are and therefore worth celebrating!
