Josephine Oliver
Instagram- Pheonix_Photography_2001 Josephine Oliver’s work is inspired by fairy tales and woman’s empowerment by using imagery through fashion photography, objects and the scenery. Josie wanted to create a roman#c esthetic as well as show a clear connection to woman hood through the natural elements. Josie was heavily influenced by the history of The Cottingley fairies and artist/photographers like Yevonde Middleton, Nadja Ellinger and Heather Evens Smith. Josie uses documentary photography as a starting off point for her photos she finds this gives a more personal insight to help focus on the story line within her own photographs. Josie is createing her alternate fantasy world through her photography and aims for the viewer to spark a conversation.
