Théa Davies
Sculptural Forms
Théa Davies uses the medium of photography as a tool for the communication of current issues through fine art. This selection of three-dimensional 'sculptural forms' represent the artists' emotional connection to the depicted landscapes. The artist photographs the landscapes methodically, recording the eroding environment, printing on Kodatrace paper, and combining with a natural resin to manipulate the image. The manipulation is a conversation between the artist and the object, guiding the material reflecting her connection and allowing the piece to display physical restrictions in the shaping process of the image. The focus on the eroding environments speaks of the worsening climate change, used as subject matter to remind those it is possible to implement positive changes to slow global warming.
